A GROUP OF STUDENTS PRESENTING THEIR PAPER
STUDENTS ATTENDING THE SYMPOSIUM

A Symposium of TDC 3rd Semester (Major) was organized on 18-09-2018. The seminar was held in the E. Resource center of Pub Kamrup College. The students of the respective class presented their papers according to the module set by the supervisor, Mr. Dipen Bezbaruah, HoD, English. The students were divided into six groups and each group presented their papers on six different aspects of Victorian novel.

These are: CONTEXT OF THE VICTORIAN NOVEL, CHARLES DICKENS AS A NOVELIST, NOVELS OF BRONTE SISTERS, THOMAS HARDY AND VICTORIAN NOVEL, VICTORIAN NOVEL- A GENERAL INTRODUCTION AND GEORGE ELIOT AND FEMINIST PERSPECTIVES.

Report on 3rd Semester (CBCS) Student Seminar

Organized by the Department of English, Pub Kamrup College, Baihata Charali.

The Department of English, Pub Kamrup College, as a part of its student seminar series, had organized a seminar for the 3rd semester students on 19.03.2021. The topic of the seminar was “English Literature: Contexts and Perspectives”. Mr. Montu Saikia had presented an engaging and insightful talk on “Literature: Background and Perspective, A New Historicist Dialogue”. His presentation was followed by Dr. Dipen Bezbaruah’s enlightening talk on “Interlinking of context and content in English Literature down the Ages”. The seminar was a collective effort of the Department of English and coordinated by Vipasha Bhardwaj and it had an inquisitive audience. A total of 40 students from the 3rd semester had presented their paper which was followed by an interactive session.

  1. Mentoring: Dr. D. Bezbaruah will be the mentor of 4th Sem Students, Montu Saikis will be the mentor of 6th Sem students and Vipasga Bhardwaj will mentor the 2nd Sem students
